Restaurant

Chinese ink paintings inspired our dining spaces, which comprises a main hall, one 18-seater private room, and four customisable 10-to-20 seater rooms.

Foo Man Ting keeps a collection of rare Chinese artworks by both foreign and local artists. The oldest painting dates to 1914, hung by the entrance, and another, which is elegantly painted on silk, is in one of the private rooms.

The works of the late great Chong Liew Syn, who established the Sarawak Fine Arts School, is also featured prominently in the main dining hall.

Our restaurant’s name, Foo Man Ting / 福满庭, means ‘Court Full Of Luck’. The word 福 is also the first character of our parent company Hock Seng Lee / 福胜利.

Notable calligraphy master Liew Boon Poh created Foo Man Ting’s logo. The original piece is kept in the restaurant.
